The service

Artificial turf installation, sized for Atlanta yards

Artificial turf installation replaces worn natural lawn with UV-stable synthetic grass built over a graded base. No mowing, no irrigation, no patchy fescue. The work that holds up year after year happens under the turf. Our Atlanta crews engineer the base for local soil conditions, install perforated backing rated for Georgia’s spring cloudbursts, and grade the surface for proper drainage so summer humidity never traps standing water on the lawn.

Engineered for the soil, graded to shed a spring downpour, finished to a standard that holds up through every Atlanta summer.

Why Atlanta picks us

What separates our installs in Georgia

Synthetic turf lawn in an Atlanta backyard
01

Built around Georgia Soils

Heavy clay soil expands when wet and shrinks when dry. The base material our installation team uses holds up to this ground movement and provides a smooth, compact and well draining surface for your turf to look amazing for years to come.

02

Drains the storm bursts that hit Cobb and DeKalb

Spring fronts routinely drop 2–4 inches of rain in an afternoon across the Atlanta metro. Our perforated polyurethane backing drains at over 30 inches per hour and more than triple peak intensity recorded at Hartsfield-Jackson during 2024–2025, and our fully permeable products drain at over 100 inches per hour! No standing water on the lawn after the storm clears.

The numbers

Why turf makes sense in the Atlanta climate

Three figures we keep coming back to when Atlanta homeowners ask us about water bills, drought rules, and HOA approvals.

Slash outdoor water use
30%
“Outdoor water use accounts for more than 30 percent of total household water use, on average. Replacing natural lawn with synthetic turf eliminates this category of use almost entirely.”
99,000 gallons back
99,000 gal
“A typical 1,800-square-foot residential lawn can conserve approximately 99,000 gallons of water per year by replacing natural grass with synthetic turf, roughly 70 percent of a homeowner’s outdoor water use.”
Skip watering restrictions
Year-round
“Drip irrigation, soaker hoses, and properly installed hand-watering of personal food gardens, landscape plants, new and replanted plants and turf are allowed any time of day.”

We recently had Artificial Grass Pros come out to our home and quote us for a backyard installation. Not only were they the most reasonably priced but they also were the easiest to schedule and work with. Questions

Atlanta turf questions, answered

What Atlanta homeowners want to know before turf goes in.

How much does artificial turf cost in Atlanta?

Most Atlanta lawn installs run $8 to $11 per square foot installed, with putting greens and pet systems priced for the extra base and infill work. Red-clay excavation depth and slope grading are what move a quote within that range. The free measure turns the range into a firm written figure.

What turf do you actually recommend for Atlanta yards?

For front lawns in HOA neighborhoods: 1.75" natural-tone blend — the multi-tone fiber reads as a well-kept fescue lawn from the street, which is what most Cobb and Fulton HOA boards want to see in the sample. For shaded backyards under mature trees: 1.5" turf rated for low-light installs — real grass will not grow under Atlanta oak canopy; turf holds an even green where fescue thins to dirt. For pet yards on red clay: 1.5" antimicrobial turf with zeolite infill — ends the mud-tracking that red clay yards produce every time it storms, and controls odor through humid summers.

Will turf drain on Georgia red clay?

Yes, because we do not install on bare clay. Red clay barely percolates, so we excavate deeper than the flatland standard, build a graded aggregate base that moves water off the yard, and lay a fully perforated backing above it. The downpours that pond every red-clay yard in the metro run through instead of pooling.

Does artificial turf work on a sloped Atlanta lot?

Sloped yards are some of our most common Atlanta installs. We grade the base to hold, secure the edges, and route runoff so the slope stops eroding every storm. Hillside lots in Sandy Springs and Brookhaven that never held grass hold turf fine.

What about heavy shade under Atlanta oaks?

Shade is where turf beats fescue outright. Nothing grows under mature canopy, but turf holds a full, even green with zero sun. We spec a low-light-rated fiber so the color reads right against shaded surroundings.

Do Atlanta HOAs allow artificial turf, and are there watering rules?

Atlanta requires no permit for ground-level residential turf, and Georgia law leaves landscaping rules to HOAs, so many Cobb and Fulton boards want pre-approval. Georgia's statewide Water Stewardship Act allows landscape watering only before 10 a.m. or after 4 p.m., every day of the week. Turf removes the watering question entirely, and we supply the spec sheet HOA boards ask for.

Is turf good for dogs on red clay?

It ends the worst part: mud. A red-clay pet yard tracks mud into the house every storm; our pet builds drain straight through, use antimicrobial fiber with zeolite infill so odor never sets in, and rinse clean with a hose.
